Taipei, Taiwan – August 2025 – The 20th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics (MedInfo 2025) is proud to announce that Dr. Suzanne Bakken, a globally recognized nurse scientist and biomedical informatics expert, will deliver a featured plenary panel session at this year’s conference, held from August 9–13, 2025, at the Taipei International Convention Center.
Dr. Bakken, RN, PhD, FAAN, FACMI, serves as the Alumni Professor of Nursing and Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. With a PhD in Nursing from UCSF and postdoctoral training at Stanford University, Dr. Bakken has built a distinguished career advancing health equity through the power of innovative informatics.
She is the pioneering force behind the WICER and WICER 4 U initiatives—community-centered informatics projects that provide critical infrastructure for real-world healthcare impact. Her work has garnered support from leading institutions including AHRQ, NCI, NLM, and HRSA.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from Dr. Bakken during her plenary session titled:
