It is a great honor to welcome you to MEDINFO 2025 in the vibrant city of Taipei, Taiwan. This year’s conference brings together our global community under the theme “Healthcare Smart x Medicine Deep”. Together, we will explore how advancements in biomedical informatics and artificial intelligence can drive meaningful change in healthcare systems and outcomes worldwide. This year, the event aims to delve into how AI technologies can be leveraged to enhance and streamline hospital operations, ultimately advancing the concept of digital health hospitals. Discussions will likely cover a range of topics, including AI-driven diagnostic tools, automated administrative processes, smart patient care systems, and the integration of AI into various aspects of hospital management.

Welcome to MedInfo2025
I am honored to invite you to the 20th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics: MedInfo 2025. This event will be proudly hosted by the Taiwan Association for Medical Informatics (TAMI) on behalf of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA). The conference will be held from August 9 to 13, 2025, at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) in Taipei, Taiwan.
This prestigious international event brings together thousands of digital health leaders and practitioners at the forefront of healthcare and is considered a landmark event on the global calendar. MedInfo 2025 is expected to attract thousands of delegates from around the world, with hundreds of speakers, as well as exhibitors, workshops, and masterclasses.
Our event theme – “HealthcareSmart × MedicineDeep” – aims to inspire us to lead the conversation and implement actions toward building a health sector that is accessible, where data is not horded, and where both clinicians and consumers are digitally enabled to work together in true partnership toward healthier lives.
This year’s conference takes place in Taiwan, a global center for AI innovation and chip manufacturing, home to industry leaders such as TSMC. Taiwan is also the birthplace of some of the most influential figures in technology, including Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, and Lisa Su, CEO of AMD. Their contributions to AI and technology are pivotal, especially in the application of these advancements within the healthcare sector. Introducing MedInfo2025
The International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and one of its Member Societies host the internationally acclaimed Medical and Health Informatics congress, known as MedInfo.
The event was established in 1974 and was held every three years until 2013. Since then, MedInfo has been held every two years. A vote at the IMIA General Assembly determines which IMIA Member Society will host the event.
MedInfo enables a high-quality scientific exchange of current research and critical thinking in health and biomedical informatics across the globe. The event also provides the national and international community with an opportunity for formal meetings and social networking.
